We Have a Misson

God calls His children to share Jesus, in the local community and across the world.

Heritage Fellowship reaches out to the community and the world in various ways. To serve our local community, we work with the Shelby Mission Camp – building wheelchair ramps, participating in the Appalachian Backpacks Ministry, and serving Thanksgiving meals. We are involved with a local aviation ministry called Compass Aviation, which trains missionary pilots and mechanics. Also, we help needy mothers and babies through the local Pregnancy Resource Center by annually participating in the Walk for Life.

Reaching further than our community, we support a missionary family in the United States. The Spangs are in Alaska working with Arctic Barnabas. And, reaching out beyond the borders of the United States, we pack shoeboxes with Operation Christmas Child and volunteer at the shoebox processing center in Charlotte each November/December.

Our goal is to continue sharing Jesus’ light through the ministries in which we are already involved, but we also want to expand our mission opportunities to reach out to more people. Following God’s call is hard work, exciting, fun, and fulfilling!
